Aandavan Katalai (AK) : Simple narrative with a strong content of a man who gets screwed up taking shortcuts and thrives hard to survive the after effects.

When a man surrounded by troubles in his native tries to make money faster by going abroad and regain his status in the society. He opts for shortcuts to get there faster. Whether he made it or not ? Did he circumcircle himself with complications ? Did his lady love was an accident and did he succeeds in it ? That is what Aandavan Katalai takes us through for 2 hours 45 minutes of excellent narration.

Vijay Sethupathi, the happening actor of Kollywood, nails AK with his causal and comic performance. He has lived the role of gandhi and has delivered what was required from him for the plot with ace. The portions where he takes cap of being dumb is a feast to watch and his way of portraying the different emotions that Gandhi undergoes is simply a delight for all his fans. AK being the 5th film from his kitty for 2016, he is undoubtedly the most busiest person of K-town this year.

Rithika Singh, the hot boxer turns girl next door with elegance and beauty personified. As a TV reporter she has done justice to the role and steals heart of the audience with the simplest cute reactions. With more proper selection of scripts she is definitely gonna reach more heights.

Naseer,Yogi Babu and the character who played Srilankan refugee are yet another interesting add-ons who elevate the movie to next level.

Manikandan, the man who made an impressive stamp with two versatile films hits the bullseye yet again. He makes sure to touch a serious plot with a simple narration and we must say thats the key to success. The screenplay and the narrative style which he has co-written with Anucharan, and Arul Chezhiyan is so engaging that the audience are never allowed to be distracted with any commercial compromises. With films carrying social relevant messages have decreased radically , Manikandan comes out of the herd to leave one. Kudos to his efforts and expectations on his next is even higher. AK is easily the best of his three till date.

K's music and Shanmugasundaram's visuals have stuck to the best possible means of reality and thats the major plus of AK.

In a nutshell : Aandavan Katalai is not be missed and is a feel good entertainer with a strong message to carry forward.
