Adhe Kangal, When a young man takes a journey to see what he never saw but Love is blind and that explains all.

A blind but successful entrepreneur falls in love with a random girl. When he meets with an accident his life changes course and get surrounded by a series of mysterious dots. How the protagonist connects them to solve the mystery forms the plot.

Adhe Kangal has an interesting cast with Kalai Arasan, Janani Iyer, Shivada taking the prime light and Bala Saravanan plays a good comic role. Kalai Arasan has given a convincing performance as blind guy and his acting in the sequence of connecting the dots is good. Shivada, after Zero one of her finest performance. Talking more of her would be a spoiler. Janani as a journalist fits perfect to the role and does what is required. She is a talent to be utilized more by K-town. Bala Saravanan provokes enough laughter with his expressions and one liners.

Rohin Venkatesan, a newbie to the K-town makes his first mark very impressive. Evidently he is interesting find by the producer CV Kumar who is known for making films of unique content. The director has taken efforts to keep the audience stuck to the story and his narration gives no space to unwanted commercial compromises. Delivering a film of this clarity, we could expect more impressive works from this man.

Ghibran is the real hero of AK, who elevates the film with his unique style of RR. His BGM for the baddie is of surprise yet works in its own special way. Songs doesn’t make an impact and in a suspense thriller like AK one hardly cares about songs.

The only problem with AK is, the film is so predictable as the film follows a very usual linear way of storytelling. If the screenplay was handled a different way AK’s impact could have been more. Said that, still AK satisfies movie buffs and no disappointments for a one-time watch.

Looking all, Adhe Kangal is a one-time vision with quite good number of predictable sequence which drops its overall value.

Rating : 2.5
